One of the guys at work has one and it seems to work fine for him. The thing that you have to be careful of is that the mount takes up some of your thread space and reduces the number of threads holding the magazine extension in place. If you rack your shotgun forcefully, like you're supposed to, you can strip those threads and that is a relatively expensive repair job because it requires the replacement of your magazine tube on the shotgun. Wilson Combat used to mount their sling mounts in the same manner but after numerous complaints due to stripped threads, they finally changed their mounting so the sling mount is now attached driectly to the magazine extension and not a spacer between the magazine tube and the magazine extension. If you shoot a lot, I would not recommend that mount. |

hmm interesting point. I gave it a good wiggle and it seems firm, I also made sure the extension is tightened securely. I'll go back and look at that again. It was $12 so if I ditch it no huge loss. So far it seems good. I can always take the light off when I go to the range. I'd appreciate any other feedback others may be able to offer on that too. Thanks for your help |
