It's a Bersa Thunder-Five.  I think it's a neat little gun.  It shoots the .410 stuff and 45LC.  I'd check www.gunbroker.com for one, or maybe you can find one in a local pawn shop.

Who makes the extension clamp that fits on the barrel and magazine extension?  I'm thinking I saw it on the EE but can't remember where.

I would advise against clamping the barrel and magazine together. When they are clamped together you will see an impact change with slugs when the magazine is full versus empty. The weight of the shells in the magazine and the change in harmonics cause the impact shift.

Oooh now you've done it.  Given me something to check out some time.

How much change do you see at 50 yds?  It's 20" 870 and there is already a barrel to magazine connection about 3" away.  I have other friends I would use if I was going further than that.  And frankly I can't foresee a defensive use for a shotgun that far out.  That's what rifles are for.

Here's my new 590. Where do you guys find the 590A1's with both heatshield AND ghost ring sights? I thought the two options were incompatible.

I bought the standard 590 w/ heatshield and bead sight.  I had my gunsmith put Scattergun Tech Trac-lock sights on a little while later.  Being that the front sight doesn't have the large protective "wings", I can still take the heatshield off for cleaning.

Kaotic,
I have that stock on my 1300.  I use to have the ATI pump and heat shield like you but found them to be the biggest pieces of shit ever.  The heat shield would not stay on under recoil no matter what I did and the ATI pump is way to slippery.  I put the standard 1300 pump back on mine.

I have had no problems with mine.  The heat shield stays in place even after I put 200 rounds of various shotgun loads through it.  I use mostly 00 buck and some magnum loads but not many.  As for the forend I put some grip tape on it to help prevent slip.  My hands only slip when I shoot with gloves on.  Other than that I have no problems with it.  This is just a play gun.  I have added all kinds of crap to it.  I have an 11-87P which sits next to the bed and is my house shotgun.

I can't remember if I posted a picture of my shotgun in this thread already or not. I would check, but it would take me three hours as slow as this forum is.

Here is my Remington 870 Police Magnum. It is bone stock and I plan to keep it that way.

Just for the record. I was worried because I had ordered a Mossy shield for my 590 with Ghost sights. Just put it on tonight and it worked and looks just fine. You have to be a little handy though but it can be done. Thanx Guys!

Still working on my 870 Express:

.... with a 6P and KAC grip, for the pic and sh*ts & giggles:

What I have planned in the immediate future:

- Surefire X200 weaponlight as the primary and ONLY light, on the right side of the Surefire rail;

.... and long term:

- Vang Comp barrel treatment & LPA sight install with the rear sight rail mounted;

- Aimpoint ML2.

BTW .... it's one of my toys, that's all.
