anybody out there have a clue how hard it would be to manufacture a 12 gauge Gatling gun? Or to adapt the plans to 12 gauge? I am talking a 'hand cranked' thing, not electric, but who knows. (hey everybody gimme a break it is way to early in the morning, and I am a bit loopy) |

boycott Glock for the following reasons: 1- Shitty Customer service. 2- They refuse to recall and entire production run of guns with defective rails. Even though they KNOW that the problem guns are out there. 3- They Kaboom 4- They support a National 'Ballistic Fingerprint' Database. Which is another way to sneak registration up on us. 5- They suck 6- Did I mentions they have shitty customer service? |

What is the problem with the rails? Weren't the "kabooms" caused by people shooting really hot reloaded ammo? Where did you hear that they supported ballistic fingerprinting? I have one and no problems here. In fact, I am a very satisfied Glock owner. I am not saying you are wrong for feeling the way you do. You probably have good reason to harbor such sentiment. I am just curious as to why. |
They break off. It effects an entire production run in 2001/2002 or so. My biggest beef is that they foudn out about he issue, then quietly FIXED the GODDAMN FBI's guns, and kept mum about it to the public, even those with 'warranty cards', until they had ALOT of press about it. Just recently they quietly made a press release that said they would replace any frames for a very narrow group of seriel numbers. They is some contention out there that their number range is VERY small, and does not cover all the effected pistols. Plus the way they are replacing the frames screws over most of the customers (they are not replacing them with idential seriel numbers, they are replacing them with same seriel number PLUS a '1' at the end) which means that the gun MUST go back through a FFL with ALL the necessary paperwork (think how much this sucks in states like CA).
That depends, do you believe the 'true believers' or those that were actually doing the shooting.
Erm their VP said it on 60 minutes on Feb 9th. Then RESTATED it in a press release later on when the shit hit the fan over it.
I hope you never do have a problem. Because from wha I hear is is probably easier to toss the gun and buy a new one than to get Glock to admit they did not produce 'perfection'. So from everything Ive heard Glock is one company I will not do business with, I personally feel that doing business with them at this point and with the statements they have made, is the same as doing business with sarah brady. But regardless, I probably wouldnt buy a Glock, since I know how they treat, or mistreat, their customers. But I wouldnt reccomend a boycott over customer service, I would simply try to steer people to different guns. Same as I do (or did) with Hesse, or Century, or any one of several companies. They 'boycott Glock' stems predominately from the the Statements by PAUL JANCUZZO on "60 Minutes" on Feb 9 2003. (do a google if you want a copy of what he said, I am sure you can even find a copy of his press release about a week later when the shit was going down.) BTW- Jancuzzo was 'fired' from glock, but NOT, i repeat NOT, over the fingerprint shit, but rather over something to do with a VPs wife, and some sorta disturbance in the office or something. HE was subsequently rehired 'on a contract basis' to HANDLE the ballistic fingerprint stuff with the ATF or somethign like that. |
