Anyone have any?
I'm torn between the FNP-45 and USP. Similar post here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=29&t=98371 http://galleryofguns.com/genie/Default.aspx?item=47917&&index=1&mfg=All&mdl=All&cat=1&type=Semi-Automatic+Pistol&cal=45AP&fin=All&sit=All&pid=&inv= |

You mean FNP 45 and FNP 45 USG?
No problems. I absolutely love mine. The only difference between them is the USG has a decocker and a safety, while the standard FNP 45 has just the decocker. If you want to carry cocked and locked, the USG is for you. My USG also came with 3 15 rnd mags. Oh wait, I do remember a minor problem. I had a couple of rounds of WWB that hung up in the mag. It was only a couple of cartridges, and they were clearly longer than the rest in the box. I measured them and they were significantly longer than the other carts, and I chalked it up to poor quality control. I have another non-FNH pistol that also had some problems with WWB, so I just quit buying them. I've never had any problems with any other kind of ammo. Az |
| I've had WWB get hung up in my magazine as well. It also gets hung up in the magazine of my sig. I compared the length to some other brands I have and the WWB was WAY WAY longer. I've got about 500 rounds through my FNP-45 and love it. 15 rounds of .45 will put a smile on your face. |

FN chamber is tight and mags are short, otherwise a nice pistol. short supply? I believe he means the mags are too short for WWB ammo (WWB is actually too long for the mags |

Well, the FNP-45 features, capacity, and reputation are causing me to go with it. I'll be giving it about 6 months and 400 rnds before making it my duty weapon.
$599 on Impact Guns Only problem now, is that I can't find a good duty holster for it. I"m running a BH Serpa III on my glock 23 right now. |
| Both are excellent pistols. I just got the FNP-45 Tactical pistol and so far my only problem is finding holsters for it. I have a drop leg Safariland holster that works well. I'm thinking of ordering a Bladetech belt holster for it next. I have a Raven Concealment holster on order, but was told it will take several months to get it. |

| I have the FN45USG with about 700 rds thru it. Very accurate and dependable. Only things Ive run across is the 14rd mags don't like to drop free with the slide locked back(15rder is much better) and it does NOT like Wolf LP primers. I have to do a double strike about 1 in 10. Otherwise it has been 100% with CCI primers and all the factory ammo Ive put through it including magtech, Speer GD and Remington. |

I own both the USP & FN-USG. The USP is just a hair more accurate regardless of ammo used, FWIW. OTOH, the USP costs a good bit more on the retail level. The FN uses 15rd mags compared to the USP's 12rd mag, so there's an advantage.
Either way, one gets a vastly superior .45 over the other mfgr brands, IMO. My .o2 |

What type of failures are you seeing? Magazine/ammo related FTF with WWB FMJ .45 Everything else has functioned 100%. The WWB rounds fire fine once seated. The "break in process" is more that the gun is pretty stiff (slide, trigger, etc.) when new, at least with my USG.

Thats a shame. I usually practice with WWB but carry speer gold dot. They make a flat nose WWB FMJ that is supposed to be the same price, I've been looking around trying to find a box to try it out, no luck yet though. Semi wadcutters didnt feed for me, only round nose and hp's. The reloaded ammo I shoot thru my 1911, XD, and Glock ftf'ed almost every round in the FNP-45 USG. |

I ran over 500 in a bowling pin match one day. Not a single hiccup. Had another match that was around 300 and once again no malfunctions. The FN will run all day. |

I was having a ton of FTF's with my FNP-.45.... It didn't matter what ammo I was using.... So... I broke down the mags and coated everything with Teflon Dry lube..... The result...... 500 rnds later, not one FTF...She now eats Everything I feed her... The manual says not to use teflon based lube....Anyone know why? |

If it's not too late you might check out CDNN- a few weeks ago I got a USG $572 shipped, includes the shooters pack (training barrel, blade tech holster & paddle).
