I finally got to meet the nice lady in charge of private handgun sales at the FN factory in Columbia and bought an FNP-45 and an FNX-9. I got a terrific deal on both of them. I was hoping they would say "Made in Columbia SC" like some of them but these say "Made in Fredricksburg VA."
Oh well; I still like 'em. 
The .45 came with three 14-round mags and the FNX9 came with three 17-round mags. Both came with interchangable backstraps. And no, I couldn't talk her in to selling me an M240 or M16.
