Before the bashers make it
IT'S AN OVERPRICED .22! IF I GOT SHOT WITH ONE, AND I NOTICED, I'D BE PISSED! As I've shot one, I love it. Ammo is a bit expensive, but it is far more accurate than I am, has almost no recoil, and a 20 rnd mag. What more could you ask? well, ok, cheap ammo. |

Don't understand why everyone keeps saying 5.7 ammo is too expensive. $20 for 50 round box of centerfire with nosler ballistic tips. What other caliber of center fire can you buy that cheap? Check out how much a box of ballistic tip bullets costs just to reload. Heck of a deal.
and a loaded FN Five Seven weighs less than an empty Glock. My only complaint is it feels just like an air soft toy. |

I think the problem is there are many cheapskates on this board, who shot soft cast hand loaded lead ammo, and reuse their cases 1092843 times, so when the only ammo available is middle to high grade, they whine like babies. It was much worse before all the other ammo prices jumped way up. |

wtsane: I have one. I got the Burris Fast Fire and a Glock base for $180 delivered from Optics Planet on the internet. You will need a mill, CNC preferred. The front sight is milled off down to the level of the slide cover. The guts of the rear sight are taken out and the remaining sight walls are milled down to the level of the slide cover. A spacer will have to be made (from aluminum) that fills the recess in the bottom of the base and sits on top of the remaining rear sight base. Holes are drilled in the spacer and factory sight base that match up with the two holes in the optic base. The holes on the factory sight base are taped for the mounting screws. The slide cover is then put back on, the sight base bolted in place and the optic bolted to the glock base. Now that I know this set up works well for both HD and CCW, I am going to replace the Burris with a real Docter (unless the new Trijicon RMR will fit the base).
That is pretty much it. Dog
