I came across this review on the FNS while looking around the web.
Great independent review. FNS 40 Review |

I have the FNX, and have eagerly been awaiting the release of the FNS.
Got to fondle one at my LGS over the weekend. Feels just like the FNX (GREAT!) in my hand. Trigger seems to be very crisp out of the box, though there is considerable take up prior to the break. The break is clean, not squishy like most striker-fired guns. I'll be shooting the FNS 40 of a friend next week, and I'll be able to directly compare it to a G23 w/3.5lb connector and the XDm. Will give my thoughts at that time. |

Well I couldn't wait. I went to the local gun shop and they did have an FNS40 in stock.
I love the trigger, has almost a two stage feel to it to me. Take up the slack and a very crisp break. Recoil is about the same as my XD-40 not bad at all. Once I got used to the European sight hold I was able to hold some nice groups at 25 yards with it. Field strip is clean and simple. Changing out the back strap for the first time was a minor challenge but only because the parts fit to tightly together initially. I like the fact it comes with three magazines. No problems of any kind on the first range trip. |
