It's quite a long stroke and feels like about 8lbs to decock. It's a non issue.

Perhaps I may be incorrectly describing it, but unless I and the other various people I've seen shoot guns are holding them wrong, My thumb is under the safety on the FNP-45. If you ride the safety hard with a slightly loose grip and with enough recoil you can bump the safety up to "SAFE" while firing.  Okay, I re-read and see what the OP was asking about covering the safety lever with ones thumb, as you could with a 1911. Don't see how that would even remotely be comfortable ona FNP-45.. |
