I have finished my 10/22 and need a 22 handgun to go with it. Eventually I'll have more than one but right now I need to pick one due to several other gun purchases. It will have the barrel treaded for a suppressor later.
These are the models I'm thinking about and any feedback would be appreciated. Beretta 87 Target Smith & Wesson Model 41 Smith & Wesson 422 CZ Kadet Not interested in a Ruger or Browning as I've had both and they never really completely impressed me. Thanks. -Chris |

I swear I answered this an hour ago!
Either Smith is wonderful. If you've mentioned the M-41, money is obviously no problem. Heavier, better trigger, easy takedown, and for the low, low price of $425 you can get a Clark Team Challenger barrel with Picatinney top and suppressor thread. 422, I have 2 and a 2206, same mags as the M-41. Reliable lighter (in the case of the 422/622), pre-threaded for HotRod9MM's 1/2x28 suppressor adapter. The Kadet is my favorite .22 pistol....after the M-41. All steel, fixed barrel, shoots anything, smooth nonstacking DA trigger, smooth slightly camming (that's not creep) combat SA trigger. Mine's a satin nickel 85Combat with a kit. I know the Beretta comes from Italy.... |
