I am thinking of getting a 22 rimfire DA revolver. I know the S&W 617 is undoubtedly the primer of this class, but it's price is a lot more than I want to spend on a "plinker".
I have seen a lot of posts on other sites about how bad Taurus revolvers are. It seems that there is about a 50/50 chance of getting a good one. I am wondering what experiences anybody has had with a Taurus Tracker 22 rimfire model 990SS4. That one looks to be close to the Smith 617 at about 1/2 the price. This is not meant to be a discussion of made in US VS made in Brazil. Nor is it meant for slamming Taurus by someone who has never owned one. I want comments by people who actually own one, and what they think of it. Thank you.

I had a Tracker 22 a few years ago it it was ok.  I have no idea what model it was though.  I never had any problems with mine and it was pretty accurate.  Can't really say why i didn't like it, it just didn't "feel right".
