I have acquired a browning buckmark gold target like this  http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/j/Browning%20Buck%20Mark%20Gold.jpg

It currently does not have iron sights on it as it came with a red dot scope. Does anyone have the first clue as to where i could find sights that would fit this gun?

Browning.  They're in the parts catalog available on the Browning website.

Might check Brownells & Midway too, IMO.

will the regular sights fit on this model because of the scope rail?

Go to this site and download the parts catalog:

The sights are different on the ribbed 5.5 Target and you should be able to see what you need there.  May as well get an extra buffer or two (note there are two different ones based on pistol vintage) or any other spare parts.

I've got the same gun.  The schematics are on p 99 of the parts manual.  you can see the sights clearly listed.  Funky pistol to dissasemble, be careful as springs and parts start flying off if you are not careful...

If you aren't familiar with the Buck Mark, do yourself a favor and visit this site:

They really aren't scary at all.  Parts of Buck Marks have no more reason to fly than those from any other pistol.  All firearms use springs, and things get launched for two reasons.  Either something broke, or you did something wrong.
