| Umm.. I don't understand. What is the potential application? A 22 WMR in a rifle is an inexpensive approach to a varmint rifle where ranges are limited. Typically bolt actions with decent scopes. What need would this fill that a cylinder change in a Ruger Single Six would not? I have range toys (.380 Walther PP comes to mind) that aren't practical, but this just seems silly. What am I missing? |

No other pistol comes close to that capacity without a huge extended magazine. I'd also like to see someone make an aftermarket .17 HMR barrel for it. |

Max width, across safety levers: 1.3” And if they got rid of that thing sticking out on the right side that the vast majority of people will never use, they could have made it 0.1" thinner. Also, that's a safety hazard because it sticks-out from the opposite side of your holster so it has more of a chance to catch on something and disengage.z |

I have loved my P30 since I got it in 1993, and I will be an early adopter of this one too. When George Kellgren gets a good idea it's a hell of a good idea. Even with no clear purpose for the gun it would still be a fun gun. I have always enjoyed loading it up and handing it to someone who isn't in on the joke, and watch their face as they wait for it to shoot empty. Also, the only problems the P30s had was when someone didn't read the directions, which clearly state to use only Winchester Super-X ammo–– looks like ol' George figured out a way around that. I can't wait to get my hands on one and find out how he did it.

I like the 30rd capacity concept.
At first, I thought that it was essentially three 10rd magazines side-by-side with a 'funnel' type of feeding mechanism. But it claims to be double-stack. I don't like the Kel-Tec pistol design. If they would make it in a more traditional design and in .22LR, then I would be interested. |

I own 4 Kel-Tecs. A P3AT, PF9,Sub2000 G17 and a PLR-16. All have been 100% reliable since day one. This gun however is a disappointment in my opinion. Finally they make a full size gun and its in 22mag. Why not make it in a more potent caliber and start competing with other gun makers outside of the CCW category?
I was really hoping to see Kel-Tec finally come out with a .45acp. I understand that this model is something new and exciting and at first I thought "cool! something new from Kel-Tec!" and then I read about it and thought "ok a 22mag pistol with lots of rounds......yea" People say it competes with the 5.7 but I wonder how well are the sales on the 5.7 lately? I would have no use for the pistol but others might I hope as to continue Kel-Tec on the path of making new innovative products. BTW,I am FAR from a Kel-Tec hater since I love all 4 that I own. |

By the time you are at a range where 5.7 overtakes NATO 9mm in energy you are beyond practical pistol range. Select a good self defense ammo and that range is over 100 yards. 3. Not much reason for other manufactures to pic up making ammo or guns in this caliber. So far only one company is making a non FN 5.7 product. No aftermarket support/products. 4+5 as stated Don't even get me started on the line of bull shit fed by Elite Ammunition. I have tested several types of Elite ammo, it is lacking in all advertised factors of velocity and terminal performance. They also refuse to submit ammo for independent testing. |
