I took my Mark II 22/45 Target that I got last week out to the range today and put about 300 rounds out of a Federal bulk pack through it. I think I had 1 misfire and 1 FTE. This gun is crazy accurate, too. It was soo much fun I really didn't want to leave. I have pretty much decided to park the bigger pistols for awhile and only take them to the range once in a while to maintain proficiency, while this 22/45 is going to be my constant companion every trip to the range. 9mm ammo and everything else is just too expensive to burn up like this.
That's all I really wanted to say, it's like a whole new world when you've got a .22 pistol. I wish I had gotten one years sooner. |
| Forgot to mention that I also saw two ladies at the range (separately) trying to master CCW pistols - one a S&W Sigma 40 cal, another had a S&W 642 I think. Both were flinching and pulling their shots, so I offered to let them shoot the 22/45 to develop a little confidence. After a few rounds, they were right on target. Now I don't know what happened after I left and they went back to their bigger pistols, but that just reminded me how most people, ladies especially, probably should start shooting pistols with a .22, so they're not scared of the recoil. Felt like I did my good deed for the day yesterday. |
