I was thinking about getting a Ruger Mark III Hunter, but it just doesn't fit my hand.  Unfortunately, even tho I'm a large guy, I have short fingers.

Anyway, the best fit is the Beretta Neos.  Any of you guys have one?  Would you recommend it?

There is even a carbine kit for it.  Anybody using that?

TIA.

Reviews are mixed on Rimfirecentral.com, though not a large volume of them.

I was anxious to see one since the advertisements arrived long before the guns did, but I was somewhat dissapointed when I finally got to pick one up. Guess there wasn't enough steel in it for me to reach for my wallet. I might have been pleasantly surprised if I had a chance to shoot one.

Great concept though, and the design is very cool looking.

I've got a neos and its definetly fun to shoot.  I've only had feeding problems that were ammo related I only shoot winchester superX and stingers now and have no problems with them.  Its also easy to dissasemble and clean.  Thats what sold me on it over the ruger .22 pistols.  There aren't any real mod parts for it exept for what is sold by beretta.  The carbine rumor hasnt been substansiated, it would be nice for beretta to come through on that

I have one and have had some problems with it.  I have had some issues where I pull the trigger and nothing happens, there is not even a mark on the rim of the case.  I have also had some problems with it not chambering rounds and jamming with the round pinching above the chamber.  I've been using Remington Thunderbolts in it lately and have not had many issues with them at all.  They are just so darned dirty! So I've begun trying different ammo to see how it acts.

There are days I wish I had not bought it, but for around $200 I'm not out much.  Plus I've added a Bushnell Trophy Red dot w/ 4 reticules and it has become a nice plinker. The accuracy won't win a competition(at least in my hands ), but it's still fun.  I think I would have been happer with the DLX model, but I'm still happy with what it is and the price I paid.

Sorry for late reply :)

I used to have one and the ONLY problem I had was this one pin that was used to hold that rail on top kept coming out the side. (I think theres 5 or so pins, only one ever worked loose) I took a punch and hammer, flared the side opposite it was coming out of, resmacked it back in and never a problem since.

I loved the gun, you could empty the clip and for a .22 have such little muzzle climb you could get awesome quick shot groups.  Also took my red dot sight nicely :)  Worked very well for quick shooting without aiming.

I get an ejection shell stuck once in a long while (every 200 or so) but I am shooting cheap federal or remington .22s

If I was in the market for a .22 id definatly consider this one.

Ive never had the firing pin miss a shell.  Ive had maybe a handful of fail to fires but thats expected from .22s id think.  (probably shot 7000 rounds through mine)

oh one other thing, I got the longer barrel version which was fine for me but my girlfriend complained about it being heavy halfway through the day.
