Is anyone having issues with the 1911-22 recoil spring guide rod? Mine is breaking apart, and browning are a bunch of useless fucks when it comes to parts. Anyone know somewhere I can get parts for this thing?

So what's the rod made from..plastic..steel..alloy..what?

I had looked at these..and decided that they were really cool-looking .22 pistols...however I decided a reduced-scale 1911 look-alike .22 wasn't what I needed.

I believe they say it's made of nylon plastic. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat, if I could solve the parts issue, it is by far my favorite .22 pistol I own.

Have you thought about having one made of metal?

Are they actually reliable? They catch my eye every time I see them, but I think I've read at some point that they weren't reliable.

I have about 2 FTF per 100-150 rounds with El Cheapo Bulk pack. Never any extracting or ejecting issues, mags are a wee bit expensive though. Like I said, I'd happily buy one again, I got this one NIB for 500.

As for making one, I would have no idea who to even talk to.

I just picked up the new black label one. I had 1 FTF in 300 rounds using federal bulk pack.  Love it.
