Hi All,

I just ordered a Ruger 22/45 and am anxiously awaiting its arrival to my FFL. Of course I have been doing my research and ordering the parts to get rid of that god-forsaken magazine disconnect.

I have also been considering my options for sighting systems. I ordered some Williams Firesight open sights that I want to put on the upper that comes with it, but I am also considering a Pac Lite down the line and maybe a Burris Fast Fire.

That brings me to my question: Which mounting system is it that allows me to mount the Burris Fast Fire all the way to the rear of the upper WITHOUT a rail? Does it require any gun smithing? It looks really nice and clean and I think I like it better than the Pic Rail and Red Dot combo.

This is a photo I found in a Rimfire Pistols Pics Thread here on AR15.com --Pic belongs to Echo7847

That would be the Burris Fastfire Ruger mount(410329) that mounts into the rear sight dovetail. No gunsmithing, just tinkering capabilities. Good luck.

I wanted to retain the functionality of iron sights if my red dot failed, so I just kept my right sight on and added a cut down weaver mount to mine for the Burris.

And definitely do the mag disconnect removal. Makes the gun so much nicer, and only takes a few seconds.

A cmore and alchin mount make a nice combo
