Tapped some holes into the trigger to get the sweetspot, now she has about 1.5mm of travel and no creep/over travel. Wow this gun is alot nicer, but to my question Is the Volquartz (think its spelled wrong) trigger kit do much besides the new trigger, Is the pull greatly reduced, I seem very happy now all the pretravel is gone. and for a 67cent mod I love it. Speed strip kit I want though, even though in the 3 weeks I have had the MKIII hunter in 6.88" I have taken it apart 20+ times and it is easy as hell, but I think it still would be nice to do away with the mag safety... and a MKII hammer is almost the same price as the speed kit.
So pretty much besides the adjustable trigger is the Volq kit worth the money?? Id post pics but Im sure they are littering the internet already, and its pretty self explanatory |
| The most reduction of trigger pull weight will be from a sear. All that other stuff in the Volquartsen kit is just icing on the cake. To get rid of the magazine safety all you need is a ten dollar MKII style hammer bushing, which is the route I suggest you take. The speed strip kit isn't worth it, as the standard takedown is easy enough already. |

Volquartsen MKII Bushing
Another option is the Clark bushing. The most popular bushing people use is the one people refer to as "Sam's Bushing", which is from a guy you have to mail a check to who is based in Canada. They all do the same job of negating the magazine disconnect, but Sam's bushing has the least amount of slop. I personally just used a Volquartsen bushing and it worked fine. |
