Alright,
So what's the poop on them?  Once upon a time I had a M-100 Duramatic, but like a dumb fool I sold it.  I'm in the market for a "higher-end" .22.  I was looking at a 41, but then I thought....Hmmmmm what about High Standard.  So what's the deal on them?

Thanks

I've looked at them but have never, ever seen one at a gun range that I saw. They're just not popular guns for whatever reason.

Another less known option against the S&W 41 is the Beretta 87T target pistol. I have one & just love the thing. I saw one last week at a local shop, NIB, $599 on the tag.

I'm kinda sour on the 87.  I owned one years ago (albeit just a plain 87), and it was a POS.  A pretty POS, but still a POS.  I'm thinking you don't hear much about the new High Standards for a reason....

High Standards are great Target 22's, A deceant used one esp a Victor or Trophy Model generally run more $ than a used S&W 41. Lower end Tournament models run $350-450, The Tournament is a good gun for range plinking time or 22 league shooting

The only real downside to HS's which has always plagued them is getting mags to run reliably as they can be notoriously finicky ( exagerrated by the enormous amount of crappy aftermarket mags out there ) but if / when you get a set of mags to work they run like a Swiss Watch.

My early prod TX HS Victor
