I got a Ruger Single Six and Bearcat a few years ago in a trade for some bow equipment I wasn't using. Gave the Bearcat to my brother. I keep the Single Six for the 22/22 mag option but I've never shot it that much until last year.
The problem I have is that I keep losing the black on black sights when shooting at black targets.
So that would leave me and the wife fighting over her Ruger MKIII. Which as a straight line rear sight with fiber optic front.
Anyway, I've been wanting to get a set of the Williams Fire Sights but they were always out of stock when I would think about ordering them, which of course was always when I took it to the range.
Luckily MidwayUSA got them in stock and notified me via e-mail. $50.25 and 3 days later they arrived in the mail. I got them installed today during the rain storms and they make the biggest difference.
Wife can keep her "ol heap of junk" now!

I didn't know they made 'em for the Single-Six, hmmm...interesting. Thanks for the heads-up. I can't tell from the pics, but are the fire sights taller than the factory set? Do they seem as durable?

Forgive my lousy pictures.....here is a camparison between the two. WFS front sight is a little higher, but not much. Rear looks the same but it's hard to make that comparison due to the recess in the frame.
The sights sold are for the New Model Single Six only. MidwayUSA says in their description that no gunsmithing is required but you will need a means to take out the pin in the rear sight.
As far as durability goes, the Ruger sights that came on the gun are all metal, so I believe they would take a lot of beating. The fiber optic on the front sight could get damaged but you would have to really mistreat the gun. The front bracket protects the sight from holster damage. The fiber optic on th rear sight is recessed below the surface of the sight so it is well protected.

Thanks for the extra pics, they do help. I think I'll have to pick up a set of those and try 'em out.

Fiberoptic sights like that are extremely fragile, especially the front. Don't bump it into anything hard.

I have firesights on my turkey gun. They are great...very bright and all metal construction, minus the FO insert.
