Which would you rather have, a KMK-512 (or MK-512) or a Gvt. Target with 6 7/8" bull barrel?  I already have a KMK-512 and KMK-678GC.  Whatever I get, I'm contemplating getting it threaded too.  I don't really have much interest in the new threaded 22/45's.  For some reason the polymer frame of them doesn't trip my trigger.

My two cents. I have both a 6 7/8 Gov't Target (blue) and the 5 1/2 (stainless). I much prefer to shoot the 5 1/2. I also prefer stainless. I can't squeeze the accuracy difference out of the Gov't Target for me to notice.

That 's kind of what I was thinking.  My 678GC slabside is nice, but I was wondering if the full bull barrel might be a little too heavy.  I too love my KMK512, but I'm having a heck of a time finding one in stainless.

I would think twice about threading a government target.  I would not have an issue with threading a bull barrel.

My government outshoots my slabside, as far as accuracy goes.

Doesn't the Gvt model have a different twist rate from the other MkII's?
