I put a couple hundred rounds of some remington bulk pack golden bullets down the tube today.  I bet I didn't have but one magazine that fed all the way thru without a a fte.  I bought the two tone with Nitron look around when they first came out and I know I haven't used it in a year.  I just hope that it'll eventually break in and stop jamming up so much.  Has anyone else had any luck with them breaking in after a crap load of rounds or does the problem continue while not using cci mini's?  I really like the way it feels and hate to get rid of it but the thought has crossed my mind.

Mine didn't like Remington but ate up Federal like nobody's business

My first Mosquito was a dog. FTEs/FTFs galore. It was an older two-tone model and I bought it used, so I admittedly have no idea how it was broken-in, used, abused, insulted, etc. before it came into my hands...

... even so, it almost made me write off the model line entirely.

But I eventually came across a very good deal on a NIB "Tactical" model and decided to give it another shot. I broke it in just how the manual instructed, and now this one runs 100% with Fed bulk pack (my preference), suppressed or not...

It's possible to get a Mosquito to run as it should, but it can take a lot of holding your mouth just right. OTOH, there are some that seem perfect right out of the box. It's a crap shoot.

Mine also liked CCI as well. Shot subsonics like shit thru a goose.

I put about 50 rounds of federal bulk pack through it yesterday without a single hiccup.  I'm going to have to buy another box and try it again.  CCI's have always ran good but the golden bullets have a mishap almost every magazine.

Shot mine for the first time yesterday.  About 300 rounds.  200 mini mags and 100 bulk CCI Blazers.  Only had one FTE (in the 2nd mag) and 1 FTF.  Pulled the trigger again on the FTF and it fired.  All but the first 10 rounds were suppressed..........

Mine ran good on Mini mags, but would not shoot Federal bulk pack which is what i use for my other .22's, so I sold it and bought a Ruger 22/45, it shoots anything that is not a dud round.

I never could get used to the funky trigger pull on the Sig

Well I bought 2 550 round boxes of federal yesterday.  Hopefully if the rain lets off I'll see how she does again tomorrow with them.  If I don't like how it goes then I will get rid of it.

Mine shoots CCI's great, Remington sucks, Federal is ok, about 1 FTE in 50. I have about 400 CCI's through it. 1 Federal bulk pack and 100 Remington bulk pack.

I have noticed Federal quality has gone down since I first started shooting it, years ago, in my Buckmark. Shot to shot is inconsistent.

I can't tell you how many rounds have been put through it.  I just don't like spending 8 to 9 dollars for a 100 cci mini mags when a bulk pack of 500+ can be had for 18 to 20 dollars.

I hope you get working the way you want it to. I have avoided them because of the bad things i hear about them.

Shot a few hundred Federal bulk rounds this weekend.  No problems at all with mine.  Glad I got lucky............

I started with CCI then went to Federal and Remington. It never got reliable for me. Sure I would get a couple of good mags, but then I would have a bad one.
I gave up and sold it. I like the look and feel but I don't want to deal with failures. There are plenty of .22s out there that are reliable.

my girlfriend also has a 2 tone Sig Mosquito, she bought it used. i think i tried to talk her into a P22 at the time.

anyways, it jams during EVERY magazine. i dont think it has ever fired a full 10 rounds. it doesnt matter what ammo we are using or who is shooting it.

its accurate though, thats all i can say good about it.

i wondered if the magazine was bad, but spending $44 bucks for a spare mag, just to find out the gun is still garbage doesnt seem like a good idea...

Well I said to heck with it and I called my dealer today.  He's ordered me a Ruger 22lr with the 5.5" bull barrel.  I'll get him to move the front sight back and cut it down and thread it for me later.  It should be in mid next week.  Any one need a new Sig?

My dealer is going to charge me for less then what it cost to buy it online, shipping, and transfer fee.  + I do not like the thinness of the grips on the 22/45.  My Dad has one and I don't like it.  I prefer the thicker grips on the regular mkiii
