I'm going to mount a red dot on my Baretta Neos.  If you're not familiar with the guns, they have a really log rail all the way down the top or the gun out to the muzzle.  I have the option of mounting my red dot further back near the rear, out near the business end, or dead in the middle.  I've seen it mounted every which way, but never seen where mounting the sight is best (or if it even matters).  So, help me out, where should my sight go?

I mount mine so that it sits almost directly above my hand hold position. You need to play with it and see where it balances best for you and your pistol.

I like them right above the hand also.
Better balance, and they don't get as dirty from the muzzle blast.
