Does anyone make a speedloader for a S&W 22 10shot revolver?

Pretty sure HKS makes one for the 10 shot 617.

If the chambers on the newer 10 shot version are as tight as on the older guns, a speedloader probably isn't going to be much use. I haven't found any ammo yet that leaves the chambers clean enough for the second cylinderful of ammo to just drop in.

+1, chambers are too tight for the HKS speedloaders to work worth a darn.

http://ds10speed.wordpress.com/ –– A guy by the name of Dave Skrzela makes speedloaders for the 10-shot S&W 617 (-2, -4, -6) and 10-shot S&W 17-8 revolvers.  I have a couple of them, which I use for Bullseye competitions, and they work pretty well.  They work like the Dade Screw Machine Co. loaders –– the rounds are retained by a spring that goes around the outside of the bottom half of the loader, and are punched out when you push on the top half of the loader.  Rounds don't quite drop into the chambers (chambers are usually too tight for that), but it does get the rounds started so all you have to do after using the loader is to push the rounds in with your thumb.

Beats handling the ammo one, two, or three at a time.

I think the more important part of the system is the loading block, which is what you'd use to load the loader (you could load in rounds one at a time into the loader of course, but that is a bit slow).  Drop the rounds into the loading block, then press the loader over the rounds and the spring snaps around the rims, and the loader is ready to go.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Gs9JDjP4BA –– videos on how the loader works (and some other things an Aussie guy made for them).

They can be ordered by emailing the guy directly at [email protected]

+1 for the DS10 stuff, the only truly useful .22LR speedloaders I have ever seen, I have the 8 and 6 round versions and they work great, the action of using them is similar to a safariland loader on full size revolvers, just press and push and they pop in
