If this is the wrong forum, I apologize.

I have a RIA Tactical w/ about 600 rounds though it.
Slide and frame are in great shape. No scratches or dings.
The stock grips have a ding in them. Never did like these grips.

I'm looking to trade it for a GEN3 G19.
How much would one expect for a trade-in value?

I'd say the RIA is worth anywhere from $350 to 400.   The G19, about $450-500 depending on whether it's used or new.

If you're looking at doing a trade-in at a gun shop, they will never give you the fair market value of the trade-in, figure $250 to $300 at most.

I can get a NIB 19 for $475 +tax
I can get a NIB RIA TAC for $469 out the door

That would make me think $350 (maybe $375 if lucky) for the TAC if it is ANIB other than the grips.

For me the RIA Tac maxes out at $350. A good deal would be less. I've handled a few and find they're well-made and reliable. I have plenty 1911s so I wouldn't cross the $300 mark in any kind of trade.

I consider the G19  the most popular Glock and very nice in the box maxes out at maybe $400. I tried to trade a pristine gen3 G21 WITH  M-3 light and top trade offer was $450 on a Springer Loaded at retail from my local shop. I had the package on the EE at $500 for over a month with no bites and carried it to 2 gunshows getting a max offer of $400 on an over-priced Springer Mil-spec.

Under the right circumstances you may be able to trade straight up. But for the right G19, I'd have some xtra $, say $50, to sweeten the deal.

bud's guns offered $325 for a trade.

they've quoted me $495 on a n.i.b. G19.

If you want to get the Glock with trading, do it. Around where I live, they would only offer $200-250 for the RIA at a retailer.

I'd actually say it's a fair trade, probably $400 for the RIA and $400 for the G19 unless the Glock has night sights.  If you are trading with a private party I'd say go for it.

that's what my buddy who is a dealer says.

IMHO, Bud's offered excellent trade value on the RIA.

I have both. For an even trade with an individual, it is fair.  To trade it in to a dealer and have to lay out more than $50, I think you will be taking a greater loss than you should.

You mean the thinly disguised ad? If anything his post will help you peddle your misplaced post.
