Para Ordnance.......They make a "DA only" 1911 style pistol:

Incorrect. Colt now produces a DA 1911 style pistol as well.

ETA: I am not sure if there is a production SA/DA made. Para's LDA is a DAO pistol and I am fairly certain the Colt is as well. I recall some exotic mod (Comonolli, Cylinder & Slide, etc.) that allows the pistol to be carried in condition two then engages to cock.

My friend has a DA para.  it doesn't seem to hit primers as hard as my rock island armory pistol (SA), and the trigger reset is quite long.
ETA i just shot it again today.  its not a true double action, because it needs to be cocked before the trigger pulls the hammer back.  its not like a sig or HK or beretta double action in that you can pull the trigger again on a misfired cartridge to strike the firing pin again.

Para Ord makes the DA only, and I believe Colt's New Agent is also a DA only. The older Double Eagle models were DA/SA, as were a number of aftermarket conversions (Seecamp/ODI Viking, etc.) Pictured are my DE Mark II Lightweight Officer's Model, and Para P-12 LDA.
