I've used both and I've had one Ed Brown Hardcore hook break.  I send it back to Brownells and they replaced it for me under Brown's life time warranty.  Make sure you keep the package it came in.
I have 3 Springfield 1911's and I replaced all the extractors with Wilson's  because all 3 of the extractor hooks broke as did the firing pin stops.  I hate MIM parts.
Also, make sure you adjust the tension on the new extractor if you want it to work right.

Extractors except for rather they sit flush with the rear of the slide are all pretty much drop in parts. They do need to be tuned though, which is a simple process.

I like the Brown hardcore though I prefer the Wilson Bulletproof extractor myself.

This.  Lots of great articles on the internet that give you great insight into how to install one.

All my kimbers have wilson bulletproof fitted with EGW oversized firing pin stop.
