I saw a Turkish made 1911 called/made by "Regent". It was priced at $460.  I have never seen or heard of this brand before. Anybody hear of these?

ETA: the store said they had gotten it (they are brand new) about a month ago, so I would assume its a new import.

I saw one 2 weeks ago at the Louisville gun show, and then again last week at the Cave City gun show.  Price was <$400.

The hammer spur is the wide style.  The stocks look like the old GI plastic stocks, sort of.

Not the prettiest .45 I have ever seen.  Even the RIA beats it cosmetically.

Don't know anything about functioning, durability, finish, or anything else.

Charles Daly used to import Turkish made shotguns, and there is a Stoeger brand shotgun made in Turkey, that looks like it is a Benelli design.  I understand Beretta owns both Stoeger and Benelli, so this is entirely possible.

Hopefully, these Turkish imports are of as high a quality as the Armscor guns.  I am eagerly awaiting a range report.
