Are they worth the money? Are the slide stop & internals bar stock or MIM?

I do not think he got it yet.

I am not a fan of SW and Sig because of the external extractor.

I stumbled into one a while back, I'm not sure if the parts are MIM or not but I'll try and take a closer look tomorrow.

My impressions of the gun are fairly good, mine has a very good (tight) slide/frame fit and the rest of the gun appears to be well assembled, fitted and finished. The external extractor is of course an abomination to the alter of JMB but S&W 1911's have had a pretty good rep with them. The PC version extractor is massive compared the standard smith though.

I've only been able to get about 150 rounds through it and accuracy is what you would expect from a gun in the price range but mine has choked twice on WWB. I was using an older Wilson mag that I had not proven reliable in another gun so I'm not sure if it was gun or mag causing the jam.

My overall opinion is I wouldn't give MSRP for one but if you could get one reasonable it's not a bad choice.

Here we go.   Let me first say that I am a traditional 1911fan, & prefer to use them forsaking all others.

I aslo think a properly executed external extractor can be more reliable & forgiving than an internal & currently have a S & W that will see extensive range time this summer to prove itself worthy of my carry gun. We shall see.

Would I spend PC $$ on a 1911, probably not.   That kind of coin will buy you an STI or DW.

Just the Dan Wessons to the best of my knowledge.   Fusion possibly, the more I look at those the more likeley I am to make one the next addition.
