I have found out that the more you learn the more you pay attention and that the more you pay attention the more you learn.  So, today I got some new mags and I was seeing how they feed and drop etc.  When I looked closely I noticed that when the slide is locked back, the barrel will move back and forth a little bit.  Only having one 1911 I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is normal and if it is not how I can fix it?  Thanks

This, this as long as the barrel doesn't fall out.

The barrel is unlocked from the frame [see those cutouts on the top of the barrel that fit into corresponding cutouts on the top of the inside of the slide?] The barrel is forced into those cutouts when locked up [slide forward] and the "play" is removed. Totally normal to have play when the slide is locked back, if it had none, it would bind up as the barrel tilts rearward a bit as it unlocks from the frame as the firearm recoils.

Only worry when the slide is locked up in battery and you get barrel wobble.

Thanks guys.  Had me concerned for a minute.  It didn't really seem like it would cause any problems except I was worried that the sharp edges of the hollow points might catch the lip of the barrel and cause a misfeed.
