| Saw a 3.5" and a 5" (if I remember correctly) at a local shop. I think they were around $500. I'm not looking to buy one, but does anyone know about these things? I thought I was a little pistol-savvy, but I had no idea Howa was making 1911s now. |

I looked at one this weekend. Here is what I personally thought but I have never owned or shot one.
The fit was really good on the slide frame not perfect but not bad at all. with lots of extras on the pistol The pistol comes with dovetails already cut so no staking a sight. The front sight could have been formed better to blend with the pistol better. The main spring housing could have been swapped being that it did not line up or match with the frame but looked like it was designed that way. The pistol overall for the price is about what you get for 500 I was going to buy the pistol but the owner would only go so low as 575 and I wanted to pay 500. From the people that I have heard own them and shot them love them for the price and they run really well. That pool of people keeps getting bigger so I would recommend one but not for more then 500 |
