Is the barrel link pink suppose to be removable? I purchased a used SA 1911 GI tonight and during breakdown, the pin came out.

It is removable but should not just pop out.

This one is on the loose side. I purchased the same model new last month and the pin is in there tight. Should I use some green locktite on it?

No... Brand new pistol???
I would say get a new pin and link. Check the barrel where the pin is inserted to make sure it is not damaged.

Do you know what size link your pistol uses also... Is the link the right size?

My new one is good to go, it's the used one I purchased tonight that has the loose pin.

That is the one I am talking about. You may need to change the pin and link. Also check on the barrel where they are attached to make sure that is not damaged.

I've refit barrel links on some of my 1911's the pin should take a light tap to remove, it shouldn't just pop out.

They may of just forgot to stake the barrel.
the pin has no where to go once the pistol is together, not really a problem. The staking is just added so you do not loose it during disassembly.
