Well, we've seen or heard that the original design has changed. This is true, but I emailed Christine and she said she still has some of the originals for sale. I have black, flat bottom, w/o ambi cut on the way. I will post pics when they arrive and are installed. I figured I would share in case others still want the original design...price is $65 pluse about $7 for S&H.

Thanks for the info ... it's nice to know that Christine is trying to help her customers.

I have had nothing but problems with the ones manufactured by Strider for Simonich.  I have Tx4Guns install medallions in all of my 1911 grips, and he had fits trying to get my last set of Gunners to fit my gun at all.

I will buy the Nighthawk G10 Golfball grips until Strider stops making the grips and they go back to the high quality product that Simonich originally put out.

Well, I received my black gunners yesterday. Will post pics soon. They are very nice and are the BEST grippy gips. One small problem; the cut out for the grip screws is not reliefed enough for the grip screw bushing. Luckily, I had some Spiderco ceramic files from Brownell's. The round file worked great and I was able to slowly, but surely get the bevel right. I also like the fact that the golfball dimple comes to a squared piont. They can be easily sanded down for personal comfort, but doing this will not ruin the overall texture of the grips. Plus, the money went to a very good person and their family.

Currently installed. These grips feel great and really do grip. The dimples almost act as suctioncups.
