So I had my gun into the custom shop. Getting the colt cut and front strap checkering performed while it was in for some rust issues under warranty. While they had the gun they replaced the hammer as well as they felt it was becoming a bit to worn and they also refinished the entire gun. They also said they replaced the sear but I had a trigger job done a few months ago and the sear was replaced with a wilson value line sear by a local shop. They said that it appeared worn and I told them I had a trigger job done and hoped it hadnt affected my pull. They told me it shouldnt we will see tomorrow.

btw this all cost $185

what do you guys think of the sear replacement and what should I say to my local shop about this? As part of my trigger job they replaced the sear, disconnector and polished my existing trigger and fit it better wilson value line parts were used. Trigger pull is at about 4ish pounds.

If this is a cary gun i wouldnt worry too much about the trigger if it is a little heavier, i like mine at around or just under 5 lbs. 4 is light for me. Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks.

Wilson Value line sear = min.  If Springfield replaced the sear with a barstock one, they did you a favor.

fair enough then.

Should I be pissed at my local shop?

Do we know that they used a barstock sear?

WILSON Value line parts are on par with what is already in your Springfeild.

I think it feels like it has a firmer break, I think I might actually like it better now. I need to get some pics up of the work, they did a great job
