I did a quick search in the 1911 forum for "Fusion" and didn't find anything.

I've been thinking about building a 1911. Seems like the only frames for sale on GunBroker are "Fusion".

I found this one, with chain-link checkering and un-cut finger guard for $209:

Are these worth using? I really have no idea.

Thanks!

They are worth it.  If you buy the kits off his web site alot of the fitting is already done.  Bob Serva (owner) is a good guy to deal with, he used to own Dan Wesson and knows his shit.  He will help with anything you need along the way while building one of his kits.

Take a look at Foster as well, they are a sister company of Caspian.

Agreed.  I would go with the pre-fit kit if I were you.  The fitting that requires larger tools is already done for you.  You won't need more than a few small tools to complete the job.

If you have questions, call Fusion and talk to Bob.

He'll definitely help you out and also help you put together anything you need. I had a very good experience in dealing with him.
