What is everyones opinion on EGW 1911 parts? like triggers, grip safety's, hammers, ect?

Good stuff.

The gunsmith that used to do thier work just moved w/in 30 miles of me. Traded a couple e-mails.....probably not going to be good for the bank account.

Yep, Jim Milks of Innovative Custom Guns. He's got my Mil Spec right now. EGW moved away from gunsmithing to focus on manufacturing parts. EGW now refers GS services directly to Jim.

I owned a Springfield I had modified extensively by EGW. Their work was superlative. Some of the most beautifully detailed machine work I've yet to see on a pistol. On top of that, they KNOW how to build a pistol that works every time.

Love their products, and top notch customer service.

If you reload, try their undersized dies. They are great!

Great products, the quality can't be beat. Their gun smithing is first rate too, but their shop is busy as hell. Be prepared to be parted from your baby for several weeks. Just keep in mind that when she returns home she will run like a dream.

My 1st choice in replacement / upgrade parts for 1911s

Barrel Bushings and Sears are the best available in the industry IMO
