| I picked up a MC Op, for next to nothing, so I'm thinking either sending it back to Springer and have it "PRO'd" or Novak, thoughts? I have a Springer Pro now and love it, ut it doesnt have a rail, I got into the MC Op for cheap enough that it could go to either and be worked over for less than buying a new one from either of them, whats your thoughts here? |

I'm not familiar with 10-8's rear. I have always liked the Novaks. I agree on the 25 lpi, the Pros 20 are a little agressive. Why Nighthawks slide stop? Whats the new Wilson ambi safety? Whats your thoughts on Novaks one piece grip saftey? Whats the Ion Bond finish? |

How can it be cheaper? The Pro package is well over $2,000. You can find a railed pro for around 2k if you are patient. I'd say have the front strap checkered and have it de MIM'ed and you will be good to go. Well not allot cheaper, but I picked up the Operator for $450.00 with 50rds through it, and I put another 50 through it yesterday. |

New Bullet Proof parts -The ambi thumb safety ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see the method of attachment is different and cleaner than some other ambi's out there. CNC machined from one block of steel #192BBP I haven't handled a 1911 with the Novak Answer back strap but I think I'd most likely like it. As to Ion Bond ................. http://www.springerprecision.com/art/DiamondBLACKSpecs.pdf |

(if case someone's sarcasm detector is broken. I'm saying you stole that gun...awesome deal) I'd go with the de MIM and checker the front strap suggestion Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

You're right, I don't know why I typed Brass bead ................ brainfart most likely. |

The first thing I did to my MC was swap the mainspring housing for a WWII arched serrated one with a lanyard loop. I picked it up out of a parts bin at Knob Creek. Arched ones just fit my hand better.
I'm planning on ditching the ambi safety, de-MIM'ing a couple critical parts like the slide stop and hammer, and eventually putting a 10-8 rear sight on it, but mine runs well as is to I'm in no huge hurry to dick with it. |
