| I read somewhere that the old Delta Elite 10mm had some issue that wre fixed on the later models. Cant remeber what the problem was though. Does anyone know if the Ultra 10 had the same issues? I think they were made around 89 and there wasnt to many made. |
| Colt fixed the problem in later models as I understand by drilling a hole in slide rail. I'm thinking it was above slide stop hole. I had asked same question back when WilsonCQB had posted he had one on the way and if I remember right it was dbllvr who told us the fix... No one has complained about the new ones. |

Since 1988 Colt 10mm frames have this cutout to eliminate frame cracking. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q217/machinegun74/bluess.jpg This pic is a Baer but it shows the place Colts were cracking at. They eliminated it on the aluminum Commanders as well. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q217/machinegun74/IMG_0199.jpg I will see if they will disassemble it so I can see if it has that cut out. Anyone know the exact year the Ultra was made? Thanks for the pics. |

I think Colt added the cutout to all std production frames. |
