Any good ideas?

I need a left handed holster for the MC Operator and my surefire x300.

I really like the Serpa line because of the button detach.  Safariland looked like the best fit but the loop that goes over the pistol is not something I want.

Any ideas? This would be a bit heavy to wear on my waist from the looks of it.

What capacity are you looking to carry in?  I'm assuming not CCW?

Is this a part of a duty belt?  "Tactical" carry?  To wear to/at the range?

I personally don't like the Blackhawk Serpas much, was issued one, and almost never wore it after the first couple of times out with it, you're also extremely limited, especially with lights, you're either SOL or buy Blackhawk's light and put it on a Glock.

I would give Safariland another look, if not only for the reason that you'll probably be able to find something that fits, and the "strap across the top" is not like a tradition thumbreak holster, and a very intuitive and easy to use system, at least on a belt or on a leg holster.

Look into Safariland's ALS line, if you don't want a strap over the top (though the "strap" is actually a rotating hood, and is quite easy to open with only a little practice)
There's an ALS holster for 1911 + Surefire lights now, I forget the model number 63XX, probably, though. According to this thread on 10-8, it's the 6360 ALS holster for integral-rail 1911s with Surefire lights. I bet the Safariland website would have  more info.

If it is for concealed carry then look at Raven Concealment.

Though the gun would be more comfortable and far more concealable without the light in a Comp-Tac Minotaur or Crossbreed Supertuck.

Thanks for the help fellas

I'm looking for a drop leg holster for this.  IMO, this gun seems a bit too heavy to CC with...but I'll see how it goes once I have it!  I'm planning on using G19 and Kahr PM9 as CCW options.  The safariland 6005 looked good but it didnt look like it holds a 1911 plus x300.  Am I correct?

Both the 6004 and 6005 are available for your set-up.  Go to the will-fit chart here and scroll down.  The number for your gun would be 5340.  I have a TLR-1 on my Operator, and I'm using a 6005-5621

You wont regret it.  The 6280/6004 holsters are the pinnacle of hard use/duty holsters.

Great choice!

Safariland offers a lot of great holsters, and in many esoteric configurations, and IMHO most geared towards duty use, there's a ton of pistols out there with light rails that I can only conclude must be designed to be nightstand guns, given the availability of holsters for the combinations.
