There are some simple answers you can be given. Your solution is going to be technical and I would suggest you need, really need... to know what your undertaking.... http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=326 Here's another: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=18&t=78792 I gun plumb my own on an amateur basis and have made every mistake there is to make... well almost.... on a 1911. | The simplest way is to replace the trigger with one that has adjustable take up tabs. If you have the three slot Nighthawk trigger, one that looks similar is the STI aluminum trigger. It has take up tabs. It will need to be properly fitted, and the take up tabs need to be adjusted properly or it will be unsafe. There are other methods, but this is the easiest. You can get a new sear with long pads, and I can recommend several, but I doubt you want to go that route, as it will entail even more work and knowledge of the inner workings of the lock work. |
