Ok, normally I post some pretty stupid stuff but this time I'm having a problem with my 1911 feeding & I cant figure it out...

I have 2 magazines that seem to be the problem here because when I use one of the others, I have no feeding problem....

whether I am just racking the slide or I am letting it slam home from the locked back position the round seems to get hung up on the feed ramp..

I've had the magazines out & looked at them & they seem to be ok. Not dirty. springs are fine. They are seating without a problem....the only thing I can say is that they seem to be a little tight in the magazine well.

Do you guys know of any way to check them out or maybe repair a magazine that isn't up to snuff ???

I'll try to post pics later....

With 1911 magazines you don't fix them...you replace them.

You could rebuild it, but you won't save much money.

Yea, I figured I'm gonna have to but it frosts my ass...I can see no descernable difference between them....nothing that would cause the problem...

Any good choices for Govt. model mags ?? Decent price, non stainless or whatever...I want only Govt. model

Seems like an easy decision, just replace the magazines.  As it has been echoed in here countless times, Wilson, Tripp, McCormick magazies are worth the investment... and the fewer amount of headaches.
