I had some issues with some 47D's and Nighthawks. Replaced the Mag springs with Wolff extra power springs and works great now.

I discovered the problem with my TRP.  Based on responses I received here on ARFCOM, this is very common with TRP's.  Someone here (SGB maybe?) suggested Tripp Cobra mags and/or Tripp Super 7 kits for the Wilson's.  I took the advice and no more problems.  The Super 7 kits do reduce your Wilsons to 7 rounds though.  But, the followers in the Super 7 kits are superior.

All the time, in SA Operator, GI, Kimber TCII, Wilson CQB and Baer TRS, even after adding extra power springs.  I only use 7-round Wilson mags now with 0 failures of any kind

My 47D's are regulated to range use. I carry Tripp Cobra Mags.

Yes, the Wilson 47Ds of today are not the ones of the past.  Used to be a real good product and now there are usually some issues.  Once the slide stops locking back that is a sure sign springs need to be replaced.  That is the first sign of other issues to come.

My issue with my 47d's are the butt plate is disengaging easily from just tac-reload or falling from emergency reload.  Besides that my more than half dozen of 47d's that i use regularly are superb on my kimber TLE/RL and Pro Carry

I have found that all of the WC mags - 47's, 47D's, and ETM's - seem to have inferior springs from the factory. They never seem very strong and tend to wear out quickly.

I've been meaning to get some Cobramags to try, but since you pretty much have to order direct from Tripp, I haven't gotten around to it. (Most all of my "try one" purchases are done as an addendum to a much larger order to one of the big firearms parts distributors.)

Wilson mags suck.

That is all.

Nothing more.
