Sratch/rub on slide. Can I just sand the inside of my dust cover? ...And yes, it shoots straight.

if it is under warranty call warranty.

I would definatly call the manufacturer before I voided any warranty with sand paper or a dremmel tool.

if warranty is not an option, i would talk to a smith. Letting a smith fit the slide to the frame can't hurt. It isnt all that expensive either.

If that is not an option, then yeah, fine grit sand paper on a or a stone.

Call Springfield first.

If you don't want to send it off, it should be pretty easy to take care of a high spot with some sand paper or a Dremel. I spose that wouldn't help the already worn finish though...

I bought it new 9 years ago. I only shot it twice.
