Some people like them.
They're nice for quick sight acquisition at short ranges. Personally, I found them tricky to get any kind of accuracy with at ranges beyond about 15 yards. I have one on a pocket auto I carry sometimes... the big dot excels for that, IMO. But I don't want them on any of my other guns. |

They are usually a love/hate thing around here. I think they excel for fast shooting at short ranges, and are acceptably accurate at longer distances. I probably wouldn't pick them for competition shooting, but for up close and personal, I like them. |
