My new Combat Elite arrived on Thursday, and got it to the range yesterday. Fit, finish, everything looks great. Comes from the factory with 2, 8 round magazines.

At the range, I fired 175 rounds through it. Everthing functioned flawlessly and not a single hiccup. I ran Colt, CMC, and Wilson mags through it. The ammunition was Denver Bullets, a factory type reload that aren't the best in the world. Didn't really test for accuracy, as I was focussing on improving my grip and familiarization with the new pistol. The few I did fire supported were quite accurate.

What I didn't like: As reported by just about every owner of the new line of Colts, the screw in the rear Novak backed out. As I knew about this, it wasn't a suprise, and I quickly fixed that. The only other thing I didn't like is the thumb safety. The sides of it are rather sharp, and it was a little uncomfortable. I'll either replace it, or dehorn it myself.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my new Combat Elite. I was very happy that Colt brought this one back, and it makes me look forward to getting one of the 1918 reproductions as well.

Not a big Colt fan but for some reason I really want one of those.

Classy looking classic!...........I was suprised at the price one could pick one up for............very reasonable compared to Springer and Kimber..................comparable models...........

I've been seeing that trend too...

My New Agent was $859 at Cabela's, while the closest equivalent Kimber they had in stock that day was $1100+.

The most direct analog to the New Agent is the Ultra RCP II, and a quick google search show prices over a $1000 for a used Kimber pistol.

and I, too, am a fan of the two tone look...

My mid 90's Combat Elite, shown wearing his .22LR upper....

I've owned 3 different Kimbers, and to be honest, they just don't have the same feel as a Colt. Psychological? Perhaps. But I couldn't be more pleased about buying my Colt over any other brand out there.

Original Combat Elite I picked up from the EE.
It supossedly was unfired prior to me getting a hold of it.
I replaced the grips and hammer for looks.  I will keep the original parts.
