Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has gotten their paws on one of these yet. Any reviews? Comparison to Wilson, Cobra (Tripp), Nighthawk, Baer...etc? IMHO Tripp is the finest I've handled followed by Wilson then Nighthawk. Baer was a joke.

Since the other thread has been locked I will comment on this thread.

I sent Larry of CProducts an e-mail asking him to let me try one of the new 1911 Mags. in return I would post on here what I think of it. Well I received it today, to be honest I didn't think he would send and average Joe a free mag to try but he did and by the way "THANKS Larry" I took it out today a run around 50 rnds through it before it got dark and I must say it worked just fine no problems except it seemed hard to get that 8th round loaded up but by the time I was through shooting it had become just a little bit easier.

I have to admit the plastic follower acts different than a steel one but I think it will be just fine only time will telll. Im gonna put some more time into testing this mag. I feel for the price its a pretty good deal.

BTW I'm shooting a Rock Island Tactical.

Any other feedback?

I tried to contact Larry about getting some to test (I was willing to pay for the mags, just didn't want to pay big shipping costs for one or two samples that could be mailed for $2), but never heard anything back...

Yeah. The market is full of top-quality, proven magazines that have a track record. I'll take a pass on the C-Products magazines for the next 10 years until they have the same history.

Let's not get this one locked. If you have an opinion based on first hand knowledge post it. This isn't GD.

I would like to tell you all that they are the greatest thing sinced sliced bread, since Larry promised to send me some for evaluation.  However, I'm still waiting.

Why he would send anyone free mags is beyond me unless he knows you and you are an expert in evaluating products and communicating that evaluation.

A mooch is never a good customer.

I just ordered 10 and I'm sure they will be fine.

Larry sent me 2 mags, a Blued one and a Stainless one.

Right out of the box, I noticed the Blued one had a follower that would bind up after being pushed down about 1/2".

The stainless one seemed to function fine.

Finally got to try 'em today, in a TRP Operator and a Kimber Pro Raptor 4"

Blued one: Would not lock back slides, sticky follower, I'm not sure if the body is bent or what, but it would not drop free out of my guns, as a matter of fact, I had to pry it out of my TRP.

Stainless one: Worked fine for about 120 rounds, that's all I had time for. Slides locked back every time, no problems encountered.

Blued one, stuck in the TRP Operator.

Stuck follower on the Blued one.

Stainless one, no problems noted.
