Today, I did what I swore I would never do... I bought a gun on impulse.

At my local fun shop, there was a beeeeutiful Dan Wesson bobtail with Trijicon sites.  This thing is smooth and tight.  No movement between the slide and frame.

Price seemed fair - just over a grand.

Oh and for all the IBTP weenies...

These are gorgeous guns and are tightyl fitted.  Make sure to get some  white lithium grease and a very hi quality gun lube like Tetra or FP10.  These often need to be well lubed during the break in period to prevent galling.  Once broken in and things are loosened up you can back off a bit.

Enjoy that gun!!!!!

Congrats, got one on order myself. DW's seem to be at the top of the list as far as production guns go, heck they hardly qualify at that, I've heard they only make around 3000 a year.

Thanks, guys... I'm very happy with it.

Had a Father's Day range visit this morning, but just didn't have time to do a proper strip and cleaning on the CBOB.

Made do with other toys and had a great time with my son.

Just got one myself. Very nice. My first 1911.  I'm looking at some additional mags but not sure which ones I will get. I like the flush fit factory mags. I hear McCormicks are good and fit flush but not sure if Wilson makes a flush fit mag.

Befor you shoot it CLEAN AND LUBE GOOD! I shot mine for the first time at round 5 she locked up tight as hell!! These guns are built very tight!
I gave it to a good friend and he says it locks up every now and then, it just needs to be shot more!
