| How do you like it is it better than other ie colt, kimber etc. |
|
A good friend of mine does, and I can tell you there is no better 1911. Its only built by like one of 3 gunsmiths and they will do whatever you want to it. Id say its better than having a Colt or Springfield worked into something just because the the frame and slide is a much better foundation to start off.
Its the berries, but its atleast $3495 to start. |

That's one thing I was really wondering about too, is that if the slide and frame alone were that much better to warrant me just buying one his complete pistols rather than trying to have a colt built up into what I wanted. Is that pistol using a series 70 or 80 firing system? |

Tailor made to my specs and I'm not buying that the frame and slide makes that much of a difference. We both know one of these gunsmiths make the slide fit to the frame like butter. |

Seriously the Supergrade Wilsons are almost magical, I really wish I could afford one myself. |

Yeah, to start theyre smooth but Ive never seen any fit pistol last outside of one thats been welded up/remilled or uses the AccuRail system. I know that a rattle trap will still shoot but theres something to me about a 5k pistol rattling around. Now if you have one of these guys build off a Baer frame and slide........ ETA You do know only the best work on the Supergrade lineup right? You might even get one built by Bill Wilson. |

You know, I see where you are coming from, but I think that would be limited to customizing, say, a RIA, SA Mil-spec, Armscor, etc. I have seen some comparable fit from customs and Wilsons. Hell, the only pimped out custom I have is a Bob Marvel STI 2011. The slide to frame fit is exemplary to say the least. I will say this though, it is much nicer to get an outstanding 1911 from the get go than having to wait a year for someone to work on your Colt.
