Thought this might interest you guys, but while looking for a bcg for my ar15 this company has the 5 essential parts of a mil spec 1911 that does not require any lube.
Not sure if any one has posted something like this but here it is  FailZero

I don't understand the obsession with lubelessness.  Anyone who has completed a carbine or pistol course with a good weapon will soon understand that a little lube goes a very long way.  Start with a clean, lubed weapon.  Add a dash of oil at lunch, light cleaning & lube at night.  That's it.

I saw these guys at the SHOTSHOW.

The stuff is pretty amazing.

FWIWYMMV.

Great idea in theory, but I wouldn't want to go that route.  I can trust lubrication, because I can add it, see it and control it.

I'd like to hear what Chris Costa has to say about it.

If you don't like greasy guns, just use Sentry Solutions' Tuf-Glide.

Well, maybe this could be some modern break through in science and it actually could be worth something, but that means you're going to have to leave the gun in the same configuration as stock. I mean, since it's already coated or treated, you can't do any metal work to any of the parts, right?

Sounds mostly like bovine scatology.

Lubrication has more than the single purpose of allowing operation and movement, it also prevent corrosion.

I cannot seem to locate their patent either.

It is not assigned to UTC arms.

How is lubing your weapon such a chore for some people?
