What is a fair price range on a 95% 1911 made in 1918 with 2 original mags?

Is it blue or parkerized? If original it should be blue.

Blue book says a 95% military Colt 1911 (Army, not commercial) made in 1918 is valued at $3200 for either blue or black finish.  There is no mention of magazines.
95% by other manufacturers in 1918 are listed at:
North American Arms Co. $35,000 (less than 100 were made)
Remington $4600

Depending on the serial number, a U.S. Army marked Colt 1911 might actually have been issued to the USMC, and can be worth as much as $5500.

Is there an online source to check the serial # range to figure out which service it was issued to.

Without pics, any guesses are just that, wild guesses. Does it have the original barrel? Is the slide correct for the frame, slidestop and hammer correct, has it ever been refinished, ["blue" means NOTHING and 95% reblued=fair condition at best] No pics and I won't even hazard a guess at pricing. I see WAY to many "original" Gi 1911s at shows that are anything BUT original.

FWIW, most 1918 1911s in excellent shape have been refinished. They didn't do a very good job bluing that years 1911s and the latter ones are especially crappy. [Called "Black Army" 1911s]
