| sa makes some real nice 1911`s. i think they now make the frames in geneseo illinois. i had one of the brazillian ones myself and it was indeed as fine a 45 as any ive had since. ive had 3 1911`s one was a colt combat comander , a customised gi SA (did most of the work myself) could shoot one ragged hole groups at 50 yards. i had a more recent FBI version from SA which was just to sweet looking as is to customize. i plan of another just as soon as my taurus 24/7oss comes back from getting fixed .its getting traded. had a glock 45 also, i didnt have it long, my experiance with the glock in 45 acp wasnt good, the thing cant handle full power or +p loads. its molded in place rails loosend after only 4 or 500 rounds. the 1911`s on the other hand , best gun ever made. 100 years and still going strong. |
| very nice pistol. i have to reload to be able to shoot mine. even then it's still expensive. i use 200 grain lead semi wad cutters.(200 swc). some 1911s are magazine sensitve so number your mags so you can tell which one won't work. also change the recoil spring out ever 1000 or so rounds. go to 1911forum.com you can learn a lot there. if a 1911 is built close to spec and the ramp and throat are configured right the heart of a 1911 running is good ammo, good mags and a properly adjusted extractor. good luck with your new pistol. |

And you thought BRD was bad...just wait...... NICE score. who did the work, I can't quite make out the script. The stippling and reliability work was done by Elite Custom Guns. The chrome plating (inside and out) by Mahovsky's, the cera-coat by CCR. The work looks pretty good to me and their prices are reasonable. |

I picked up a Wilson a few months ago. My Ar's never get shot, I am a 45 Ammo whore and started reloading recently. I dont think a gun has ever felt so good in my hands. I cant stop looking at other 1911's and really have no urge to mess with anything else. Thats a great looking pistol. Congrats!! |
